Jim Vest

Chief Engineer at ION Media

Jim Vest has a strong background in engineering and media networks. Jim started their career in 1983 as a Chief Engineer at WTKK. Jim then worked as a Chief Engineer at WHSW, where they played a crucial role in the station's transition to Home Shopping Network. In 1989, Jim joined WNUV as an Assistant Chief Engineer and helped the station become the leading station in the market on weekends. From 1993 to 1998, they served as the Chief Engineer at WKFT. Most recently, Jim has been working at ION Media Networks as the Chief Engineer since 2015. Additionally, they have experience as the VP/Owner at Dilicast Broadcast Services since 1998.

Jim Vest has a background in Electrical Engineering and has studied at Virginia Tech. Jim also has experience in Programmable Logic Controllers and has studied at Central Carolina Community College. Additionally, they hold an AAS degree in Broadcast Engineering Technology from Northern Virginia Community College. Jim also has a background in Business and Computer Science, having studied at St. Andrews Presbyterian College.
