Ton Hurkmans

Ton Hurkmans has a diverse work experience in the coatings industry. Ton served as the Chief Technology Officer at IHI Ionbond Group since January 2017. Prior to that, they held various roles at IHI Ionbond North America, including President from May 2007 to December 2016 and Director of Business Development from January 2006 to April 2007. Ton also had a role as Commercial Directorate in Venlo, The Netherlands from July 2002 to December 2005. Before joining IHI Ionbond Group, they worked at Hauzer Techno Coating BV as the New Business Development Manager for the USA from November 2000 to June 2002 and as the Manager of Process Engineering from December 1990 to October 2000. Ton started their career as an R&D Engineer at Oce from March 1990 to November 1990.

Ton Hurkmans holds an Executive MBA degree from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, which they earned from 2011 to 2012. Ton also has a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Physics from Sheffield Hallam University. Additionally, they attended Elzendaal College.
