Monica Marinescu

Monica Marinescu is a Reader (Associate Professor) and Senior Lecturer in Electrochemical Storage at Imperial College London, with experience at the institution since 2017, following a prior role as a Research Associate from 2012 to 2017. Additionally, Monica serves as the Director and Co-Founder of IONETIC since May 2022 and has been a Consultant at Imperial Consultants (ICON) since November 2014. Monica's research expertise includes modeling Li-ion batteries, Li-S batteries, Li-ion hybrid capacitors, and supercapacitors. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physical Chemistry from Imperial College London, a Master of Science (MSc) in Physics from the University of Stuttgart, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering from Smith College.
