David Witwer

David Witwer is an experienced software engineer with a diverse background in full-stack development and engineering leadership. Currently serving as Merchant Engineering and AI Engineering at Ionic Commerce since February 2024, David previously held positions at Affirm from September 2019 to February 2024, progressing through roles from Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer. At LEVERTON, David was a Lead Engineer, where responsibilities included growing the engineering team and leading full-stack projects. David also contributed as a Frontend Engineer and as a Full Stack Developer at Mavenly, where the focus was on creating effective Shopify applications. Prior experience includes founding VenueIQ, working as a Web Developer at Colab LA, and providing guidance as a Codecademy Advisor. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Indiana University Bloomington and has educational experience from Amherst College and Canterbury High School.
