Kara Malewicz

Kara Malewicz is an accomplished professional in early product strategy and commercial product development with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Executive Director of Early Product Strategy and Planning at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since June 2020, Kara previously held the role of Senior Director for Global Commercial Product Strategy at Gilead Sciences, where leadership was provided for the Filgotinib launch in Immunology. Earlier experience includes serving as Associate Product Director at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, where Kara played a key role in launching ACTHAR in the Rheumatology sector, and at Allergan (MAP Pharmaceuticals) as Associate Director for KOL Development and Medical Education. Additionally, Kara held positions at Genentech, contributing to successful product launches and marketing strategies. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Market and Finance from the University of Rochester and a BS in Biology and Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
