Amanda Cota

Amanda Cota has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Amanda recently joined IonQ in October 2022 as a Mechanical Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at Building Momentum from January 2021 to October 2022, first as a Research and Development Associate and then promoted to Senior Research and Development Associate. At Building Momentum, Amanda was involved in various research and development projects.

Before Building Momentum, Amanda worked as a Student Assistant at The George Washington University from November 2018 to January 2021. In this role, they created custom animations for alumni engagement emails and designed event marketing materials using Adobe Illustrator for virtual events.

In 2019, Amanda briefly worked for The Walt Disney Company as a Merchandiser, where they gained knowledge of entertainment engineering and provided customer service.

Prior to that, Amanda had a self-employed role as a Private Tutor in 2017 and worked as a Cashier at Sky Zone Fargo from October 2015 to August 2016.

Amanda Cota completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washington University, beginning in 2016 and finishing in 2020. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Certified Wrong Thinker from Solve Next in September 2022.
