Leah Sardone

Leah Sardone is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the aerospace and technology sectors. Currently serving as Director of Control Electronics and Power at IonQ since March 2024, Sardone previously held leadership roles at Metropolis Technologies and Amazon, where contributions included managing multidisciplinary teams and developing automated software test infrastructure for satellite projects. As a Senior Manager at BLUE ORIGIN, oversight of embedded systems for the New Shepard launch vehicle was key, and at Spaceflight Industries, Sardone played a pivotal role in the successful SSO-A Smallsat Express mission. Additional experience includes various engineering positions at Honeywell Aerospace, The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Northrop Grumman Corporation, and Lockheed Martin. Sardone holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
