Frank Zeichner has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Frank is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of IoT Alliance Australia since May 2015, where they focus on promoting collaboration, policy development, and identifying growth opportunities in the Internet of Things sector. Additionally, they are an Industry Board Member for NSW Smart Sensing Network since May 2020.

Frank previously worked as a Director of Frank Zeichner Digital Consulting from 2004 to the present. Frank also served as a Partner Manager for RACE for 2030 from July 2020 to September 2021.

In the academic field, they held positions at the University of Technology Sydney, including Director of External Engagement, Smart Cities - Faculty of Engineering and IT from September 2019 to December 2020, and Industry Associate Professor in the same faculty from May 2017 to August 2019. Frank was also a Director of Knowledge Economy Institute (KEi) from July 2017 to March 2020, a hub dedicated to harnessing the power of digital technology.

Furthermore, Frank had roles in various organizations such as Telsoc, where they served as a Member of the Board of Directors from October 2015 to July 2018. Frank was also the Director of Creator Tech, a Digital Technology Advisory firm, from 2007 to 2016. In the early stages of their career, Frank served as the COO and Caretaker CEO of Open Telecommunications from January 2005 to December 2006. Frank also held leadership positions at Alcatel Australia, including Executive General Manager at Telstra from January 2004 to May 2004 and Sales and Marketing Director from November 2001 to December 2003.

Frank Zeichner attended Melbourne High School from 1971 to 1974. Following their high school education, they enrolled at the University of Melbourne, where they studied Physics and Electrical Engineering. Frank achieved a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree as well as a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree from the university, completing their studies in 1982.
