Judy Anderson GAICD has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Judy currently works as a Special Consultant at National Advisory Pty Ltd since September 2021. Previously, they served as the Vice President and National Board Director at the Australia Indonesia Business Council (AIBC), leading their ACT Chapter to build stronger relationships between Australia and Indonesia. Judy was also a Board Director for IoT Alliance Australia.
Judy has a strong background in government relations and advocacy. Judy held the position of Government Relations and Advocacy Lead at AustCyber - The Australian Cyber Security Growth Network Ltd, where they played a crucial role in driving cybersecurity growth and positioning Australia as a world leader in cyber technologies. Prior to that, they served as the Government Relations Lead at Research Australia, where they shaped government policy for health and medical research.
At Braddon and Associates, Judy worked as the Principal Consultant, specializing in policy and program development, government advocacy, and shaping policy initiatives. Judy has also worked as a Senior Health Advisor for the ACT Minister for Health, providing strategic advice on healthcare system development and overseeing key policies and programs.
Judy's extensive experience in the private sector includes roles at IBM Australia and Singtel Optus, where they held positions in government relations and client engagement. Judy also worked at the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, holding various managerial roles in competition policy, consumer policy, and industry analysis.
Throughout their career, Judy has demonstrated a passion for creating opportunities and building stronger relationships between organizations and governments. Judy has a strong track record in influencing government policies and programs, driving growth, and creating positive outcomes for businesses and communities.
Judy Anderson GAICD completed their education with a Bachelor of Economics degree from Monash University between 1985 and 1989. Judy later pursued a Masters in Finance degree from RMIT University, specializing in Finance in regulation, from 1990 to 1995.
