Gordon Ferguson

Gordon Ferguson is a skilled professional with extensive experience in communications and automation within the underground mining sector. Currently serving as a Field Operations Support Engineer at IoT Automation, Gordon specializes in Real Time Situational Awareness technologies, notably the Firefly and DragonFly Smart Lighting systems. As the Managing Director of Remote Control Autonomous Solutions since November 2015, Gordon has overseen the design, implementation, and maintenance of autonomous production units. Gordon has previously held roles such as Underground Engineering Specialist at Freeport-McMoRan and Senior Communications Technician at MST Global, among others. Gordon’s technical expertise includes RF engineering, communications systems, and automation technologies, supported by a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Communications obtained from South Bank Institute of Tafe.
