Akshay Ananthakrishnan, Ph.D.

Akshay Ananthakrishnan, Ph.D. is currently the Lead MEMS & Sensor Engineer at iota Biosciences, Inc. powered by Astellas. Akshay previously worked as a Senior MEMS Engineer at the University of California, San Diego and as a Ph.D Candidate at the University of Pennsylvania. Akshay has a background in Mechanical Engineering and has conducted research in various fields, including developing brain-machine interfaces and analyzing photophoretic levitation. Akshay also has experience in solar energy research and operational improvements in the oil industry from their time at BITS Pilani and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
