Donald Hurt

Donald Hurt has a diverse work experience in the military, primarily with the Iowa Army National Guard. Donald held various roles in the organization, starting in 2005 as a Recruit Sustainment Program Coordinator. From 2006 to 2008, they served as a Company Commander for C Co 2-147th Aviation. In 2007, they became an Operations and Training Officer (RRC) and later transitioned to the role of 248th ASB BN Officer in Charge from 2008 to 2012. Donald then served as the Executive Officer for the State Aviation Office in the Iowa Army National Guard from 2012 to 2013. From 2013 to 2016, Donald served as the Facility Commander at the Army Aviation Support Facility-Davenport. In 2016, they returned to the Iowa Army National Guard as the Executive Officer for the State Aviation Office and later as the Executive Officer for the 67th Troop Command. Donald briefly held the role of State HR Manager in 2020 before taking on the position of Deputy Chief of Staff Information Management (CIO/G6). Additionally, in 2020, they became the Battalion Commander for the 248th Aviation Support Battalion. Donald's work experience demonstrates their leadership and ability to take on various roles within the military organization.

Donald Hurt attended Des Moines Area Community College from 1997 to 1999, where they earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a focus on General Studies and Humanities. Donald then went on to study at Grand View College from 1999 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. After a few years, they enrolled at Graceland University from 2005 to 2007, where they achieved a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Education. Lastly, in 2011 and 2012, Donald attended the Command and General Staff College, where they pursued a degree in Military and Strategic Leadership, earning an ILE degree.
