Sara Caven

Sara Caven is an accomplished nursing professional with extensive experience in leadership and quality improvement roles within healthcare. Currently serving as an RN Case Manager at Iowa City Hospice, Inc. since March 2021, Sara has previously held significant positions, including Associate Chief Quality Officer and Magnet Program Director at UIHC from 2018 to December 2020. Prior to that, Sara was the Program Director for Nursing Recruitment and Magnet at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from January 2014 to June 2018, and held the roles of Nursing Manager for the Surgical and Neuroscience ICU and Nursing Supervisor at the University of Iowa Health Care from November 2005 to January 2014. Sara holds a Master of Science in Nursing Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science, both from the University of Iowa College of Nursing.
