Iowa Healthiest State Initiative
Jami Haberl currently serves as the Executive Director of the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative since December 2014. Prior experience includes a decade in various roles focused on public health and emergency preparedness, such as Executive Director of Safeguard Iowa Partnership, where responsibilities included operational coordination and collaboration on homeland security initiatives. Jami also held the position of Sr. Program Manager at the Iowa Foundation for Medical Care, overseeing performance information projects. As Executive Director for the Center for Disaster Operations and Response at the Iowa Department of Public Health, oversight of significant federal public health preparedness initiatives was provided. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Health and a Master of Health Care Administration from Des Moines University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from Iowa State University.
