Troy Hounshell

Medical Director Of Clinical Trial Research at Iowa Heart Center

Troy Hounshell has a diverse background in the medical field, starting their career as a Cardiology Fellow at Kettering Health Network from 2010 to 2013. Troy then joined Dartmouth-Hitchcock in 2013, where they gained extensive experience as a Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellow, specializing in cardiac device implantation, electrophysiology studies, and various ablation procedures. As a Clinical Faculty at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, they independently managed patients as a clinic electrophysiologist and served as a lab attending and consult physician. Since 2015, Troy has been working at the Iowa Heart Center as an Electrophysiologist and currently holds the position of Medical Director of Clinical Trial Research.

Troy Hounshell attended Morehead State University from 1997 to 2002, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General. Troy then pursued further education at Kansas City University from 2003 to 2007, earning their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
