Sierra Walker

Sierra Walker is a highly experienced attorney currently serving as a Staff Attorney for the Iowa Judicial Branch since March 2023, where responsibilities include managing and training law clerks and conducting legal research for judges. Previously, Sierra held roles at the Iowa Civil Rights Commission, first as an Attorney 1 and earlier as a Civil Rights Specialist, managing the reconsideration process for non-housing complaints and supervising legal interns. Additional experience includes serving as a Student Attorney at the Georgetown Law Federal Legislation Clinic, a Law Clerk for the Senate Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management Subcommittee, and an Administrative Dispute Resolution Counselor with the Congressional Office of Compliance. Sierra also contributed to political campaigns as an Outreach Coordinator and gained early legislative experience as an intern in the office of Senator Mike Johanns. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Hastings College.
