Hugh Robertson

Hugh Robertson currently serves as the Editorial Manager for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra since June 2022, following a diverse career in journalism and arts management. As a freelance journalist since May 2006, Hugh has held various editorial positions, including Deputy Editor at Limelight from July 2021 to June 2022 and Music Editor at Concrete Playground in 2013. Previous roles include Marketing Manager at the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra and Manager of ABC Classics & Jazz at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation from February 2018 to August 2020. Hugh also has experience in management and coordination at Fish Fine Music and The Global Mail. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in History and English from the University of Sydney and incomplete postgraduate studies in Journalism at the University of Technology Sydney.
