Milan Zapletal has a diverse work experience spanning from 2008 to the present. Milan began their career as a Software Developer at Tieto, where they worked with Java Server Pages. In 2009, Milan joined AT&T, initially as a Network Administrator and then moving on to become a Core Network Administrator. Milan stayed with AT&T until 2014. From 2015 to 2016, they worked at AUP IT as a Network and Security Engineer. Milan then joined Ceske Radiokomunikace a.s. as a Network Development Engineer from 2016 to 2018. Currently, Milan works at IP Fabric, first as a Network Automation Architect from 2018 to 2019, and then promoted to Solutions Architect from 2019 to the present.

Milan Zapletal completed their Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications and Electrical Engineering at the VSB - Technical University of Ostrava from 2003 to 2007. Milan then pursued their Master's Degree in Telecommunications and Electrical Engineering at the same university from 2007 to 2010. In 2008, Milan attended Aarhus University for Conceptual Design and Development of Innovative Products (CD-DIP), but the information regarding whether they obtained a degree is not provided. In 2009, they studied as an exchange student in Information Technology at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).

Apart from their formal education, Milan also received various certifications. Milan obtained the First Certificate in English (FCE) from Cambridge English Language Assessment in December 2002. Subsequently, they obtained the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification from Cisco in November 2010, followed by the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification from Cisco in December 2012. Milan also acquired the Designing Cisco Network Service Architectures (642-874 ARCH) certification from Cisco in November 2015. Additionally, they obtained the BIG-IP Application Security Manager v12.x certification from F5 in May 2017 and the JNCIA-Junos certification from Juniper Networks in December 2017.
