Michael Bennett, CISSP, PMP, has a strong background in information security and project management. Michael currently works as a Project Manager/Senior Information Systems Security Engineer at IP-Plus Consulting, Inc., where they support the Defense Logistics Agency. Michael provides expertise in the DLA-Cybersecurity Operability Review and Assessment (CORA) task order, ensuring effective and efficient completion of requirements.

In this role, they planned and implemented Computer Network Defense (CND) operations to protect network systems and data from cyber threats. Michael also coordinated with other services and commands to establish an interoperable and standardized Computer Network Operations (CNO) Strategy.
Earlier in their career, Michael worked as the Deputy of Network Operations for the Eighth United States Army. Michael was responsible for planning, engineering, and migrating communication networks in support of the army. Additionally, they provided technical expertise and support for customers seeking IT solutions and infrastructure improvements.
Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated expertise in information security, project management, and network operations. Michael holds certifications as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
Michael Bennett, CISSP, PMP has a strong educational background with a Master's degree in HR from Webster University, obtained from 2000 to 2002. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from St. John's University, between 1987 and 1991.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Michael Bennett has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Michael earned the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification from (ISC)² in March 2017. Michael also holds a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from the Project Management Institute, obtained in December 2014.
In terms of additional certifications, Michael holds the MTA: Introduction to Programming Using Python certification from Microsoft, obtained in March 2020. Michael also has the ITIL Foundation Level v3 certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice, earned in February 2019. Furthermore, they acquired the Security+ certification from CompTIA in December 2010. Michael's certifications also include the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2021 and the Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA) from Cisco in December 2018.
