Richard Lindsay has over two decades of experience in legal and public affairs, currently serving as the Director of Legal & Public Affairs at the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising since August 2010. In this role, Richard is responsible for providing legal and regulatory advice to approximately 300 UK advertising agencies, managing an in-house legal service, and advocating for the industry through public affairs initiatives. Previous positions include Group Legal Director at Telegraph Media Group and Head of Legal & Business Affairs at Granada Enterprises, where responsibilities encompassed various sectors such as television, merchandising, and publishing. Richard began a legal career as a solicitor at Lovells from 1994 to 2000. Richard holds a degree from the University of Birmingham and attended Merchant Taylors' School.
