Ishita Chaudhry

Ishita Chaudhry is an Ashoka Fellow, INK Fellow, and the founder and managing trustee of The YP Foundation (TYPF), a youth-led organization that supports and develops youth leadership to advance the rights of young women, girls, and other marginalized youth. She worked as executive director of TYPF from 2002-2015, transitioning in 2016 to its board of directors. An independent consultant and feminist facilitator, she works with women’s funds, civil society, governments, and technical agencies to advance young people and women’s human rights. Chaudhry has worked with the Government of India and several advisory groups, including the United Nations’ High-Level Task Force for Population and Development (ICPD); UNESCO’s Global Advisory Group for Sexuality Education; and the Delhi Commission for the Protection of Child Rights. She is a founding member of the transnational alliance RESURJ (Realizing Sexual and Reproductive Justice), an advisor to the Global Fund for Women, and serves on the Independent Advisory Board for the Amplify Change Fund.
