Hang Jia

Vp, Global Customer Engineering And Network Planning at IPC Systems

Hang Jia has an extensive work experience in the field of network engineering and design. They started their career as a System Engineer at nCUBE in 1995, where they supported and implemented a pilot video on demand system for telecommunication companies. They then worked as a Senior Network Consult at Merrill Lynch, where they designed and tested new network technologies. Hang Jia also worked at IXNET as the Manager of Network Engineering and Senior Architect, leading pre-sale and post-sale engineering efforts for major financial institutions. They then joined Merrill Lynch Asset Management as a Senior Engineer, where they designed and implemented local area networks and security infrastructure. Hang Jia also worked as the Chief Architect, Lead Engineer, and Senior Engineer II at MCIWorldcom, where they designed and implemented wide area networks and network security infrastructure for Fortune 500 companies. They later joined Radianz as a Senior Engineer, where they received an individual achievement award and provided consultation and engineering expertise for core BGP routing, QoS strategy, multicast routing, and capacity planning. Hang Jia then joined BTID (BT Americas) as a Principle Engineer, leading the design and implementation of a high-performance financial community extranet. They also served as a Team Lead, managing an engineering team and handling staff performance review and assignments. Recently, Hang Jia has been working at IPC Systems, Inc. as the VP of Global Customer Engineering and Network Planning, responsible for leading global customer engineering and network planning initiatives.

Hang Jia received a Ph.D in Computer Aided Engineering from Rutgers University in 1993. Prior to that, from 1987 to 1990, they completed their MS in Computer Aided Engineering at the same university. Hang Jia obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China, although the start and end years are not provided.
