Chief Information Officer at IPD

Ben Allwood has extensive work experience in various roles and industries.

Ben worked at IPD as the Chief Information Officer from March 2021 to present. Before that, they were the General Manager Operations and Services at IPD from December 2017 to March 2021.

Prior to IPD, they served as the Queensland Client Services and Operations Manager at Rauland Australia & New Zealand from September 2016 to November 2017.

Ben also worked as the Engineering Manager at Flew Solutions Australia from December 2015 to August 2016, where they were responsible for engineering management, team leadership, and product development.

From July 2013 to September 2015, they held the position of Project Manager at LogiCamms, where they managed portfolios, bids, and client expectations. Ben also worked as a Senior Project Engineer at LogiCamms from March 2013 to July 2013, and as a Senior Controls Systems Engineer from November 2011 to March 2013.

Before joining LogiCamms, they worked as a Senior Controls Systems Engineer at PACE Engineers from March 2011 to October 2011.

In addition to their corporate roles, Ben Allwood also had their own consultancy firm, Ben Allwood & Associates, where they served as the Director from July 2005 to June 2010.

Their career started as a Control Systems Engineer at CSR from 2002 to 2004.

Ben Allwood has a diverse education history. Ben first attended Griffith University from 2000 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) with a focus on Civil Engineering. Ben then moved on to QUT (Queensland University of Technology), where they studied from 2001 to 2004 and completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Infomechatronics.

After their bachelor's degree, Ben continued their education at QUT, pursuing a Masters of Project Management from 2005 to 2011. During this time, they also obtained a certification as a Certified Practising Project Manager (CPPM) from the Australian Institute of Project Management in January 2014.

More recently, Ben enrolled in the AICD Directorship course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors, where they are expected to complete their studies in 2023. Although the start year for this course is not specified, it can be assumed that they began it after obtaining their previous qualifications.
