Anil Kumar Bansal is instrumental in strengthening Urban Development and Infrastructure & Engineering Development sectors of the organisation. He is also anchoring the business development of both the sectors.

Anil has managed over 50 assignments in the areas of urban reforms, infrastructure & policies, municipal solid waste management, slum rehabilitation, development, transaction advisory and tourism & heritage conservation. Along with his project management responsibilities he has worked as international and national expert on solid waste management, slum rehabilitation, public private partnerships and biomedical waste management. He is also leading Bangladesh operations and is responsible for managing the on-going projects of urban reforms & tourism infrastructure supported by ADB, in the region. He has worked at grassroots with the communities and also at the state and national level in developing policies & guidelines, training & capacity building and managing & implementing large-scale programmes. He has worked extensively with DFID, ADB, JICA, The World Bank, national Governments and Urban Local Bodies.

Anil Kumar Bansal holds a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences. He also has a Master's degree in Technology specialising in Environmental Science & Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. He is an ISWA-certified International Waste Manager.
