Aileen Joyce

Aileen Joyce has a diverse work experience in the finance and tax fields. Aileen currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at IPL, having started in April 2023. Prior to this role, they were the Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Finance Director ERIS EU at IPL. Aileen also worked as the Group Head of Performance and Planning at IPL. Before joining IPL, they held positions at IPL Plastics Inc as the Group Head of Tax and Strategic Planning and as the Group Finance Manager. Aileen started their career at KPMG, where they held various roles including Associate Director- VAT and Manager VAT at KPMG Ireland, Manager- Indirect Tax and Specialist- Indirect Tax at KPMG Toronto, and Tax Senior at KPMG.

Aileen Joyce completed their education in several stages. In 2006, they attended the University of Galway and obtained a Bachelor of Corporate Law International (French), specializing in law, accountancy, and French. Following this, from 2008 to 2009, Aileen studied at Université Toulouse 1 Capitole, focusing on European Union Law and earning a Diplome des Etudes Europeene. Aileen then pursued further education, completing a Professional Diploma in Accounting from Dublin City University in 2010-2011, with an emphasis on accounting, law, and tax. Next, Aileen attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2011-2013, where they pursued a degree in Chartered Accountancy (ACA). Finally, in 2013-2014, they enrolled at the Irish Taxation Institute to specialize in Irish direct and indirect tax, obtaining a CTA certification.
