Gabriel Galil

Gabriel Galil is a seasoned legal and advocacy professional specializing in human rights, particularly issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity. Currently serving as a Senior Advocacy Advisor at the International Planned Parenthood Federation since July 2025, Gabriel has previously held multiple roles at ILGA World, including Project Manager and UN Programme Coordinator focused on the Universal Periodic Review. Notably, Gabriel has contributed to significant reports on human rights and has facilitated workshops on advocacy strategies. Prior legal experience includes a lawyer position at Fundação Casa De Rui Barbosa, where coordination of legal aid for refugees and immigrants was a key responsibility. Gabriel's educational background includes a Master's degree in International Law from UERJ and specialized training in sexual orientation and gender identity law from Leiden University and The Hague Academy.
