Christopher Thomas is currently serving as an Advisor for System Strategy at the Department of Health and Social Care, where responsibilities include writing a 10 Year Health Plan. As the Co-founder and Head of the Commission on Health and Prosperity at IPPR since May 2019, Christopher leads a major research initiative examining the relationship between health, societal well-being, and economic prosperity. Previous roles include Senior Research Fellow and Research Fellow at IPPR, where contributions focused on health service reform and public health. Christopher has extensive freelance experience as an author, including the book "The Five Health Frontiers," and held key positions at organizations such as Macmillan Cancer Support and NHS England. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in International Policy Analysis from UCL and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Exeter.
