Gianluca Tarasconi

Gianluca Tarasconi has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several years. Gianluca is currently the Chief Data Officer and Co-Founder of ipQuants AG since 2018. Prior to this, they worked at Bocconi University as a Data Engineer and Database Architect from 2001 to 2019. During their time at Bocconi University, they held various roles including project leader for data packages in EU funded projects, chief data officer for research databases, and implementation of country of origin assignment algorithm.

Before joining Bocconi University, Gianluca also worked at Observatoire des sciences et des techniques as a Database Architect from 2012 to 2013. Gianluca was the IT manager at Checkpoint Systems from 1999 to 2001 and a Project Leader at RS Components from 1997 to 1999. Gianluca'searly work experience includes being an As400 analyst & network administrator at Fingerma Spa from 1995 to 1997.

Overall, Gianluca Tarasconi has extensive experience in data engineering, database architecture, project leadership, and IT management in various industries.

Gianluca Tarasconi attended Politecnico di Milano from 1987 to 1994, where they obtained a Master's degree in ingegneria gestionale. In addition to their formal education, Gianluca Tarasconi also obtained the ePMQ Project Management Certification from the Associazione Italiana per l'Informatica e il Calcolo Automatico in June 2016.
