Inaki Berenguer

President and co-founder at iPronics Programmable Photonics

Inaki Berenguer has a diverse and extensive work experience. Inaki is currently the Managing Partner at Life Extension Ventures since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the President and co-founder of iPronics Programmable Photonics from 2020, where they developed reconfigurable photonic chips for high-performance computing. In 2015, Berenguer co-founded CoverWallet and served as the CEO until the company was acquired by Aon in 2020. Additionally, they had successful exits as an Angel Investor, with companies like Flywire, Verse, and JobandTalent. Berenguer also held leadership roles as the CEO and co-founder of Klink Inc. and Pixable, both of which were later acquired. Inaki has previous experience working at Microsoft Corporation as a Corporate Strategy Manager and at McKinsey & Company as an Associate. During their PhD, they held research positions and internships at NEC Labs, Intel, STMicroelectronics, and Hewlett Packard, focusing on projects related to wireless networks and image processing algorithms. Overall, Berenguer's experience spans across various industries and roles, from entrepreneurship to investment and research.

Inaki Berenguer has an extensive education history with degrees from various prestigious universities. Inaki completed their Master's degree in Engineering at the University of Cambridge in 2001. Inaki went on to pursue further studies and obtained a Ph.D. in Engineering from the same university in 2005. In parallel, they also studied at Columbia University, where they earned their M.A. degree between 2002 and 2004. Later, Berenguer pursued an MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Management, specializing in Entrepreneurship from 2007 to 2009.
