Zahid Haq has worked in a number of positions in the engineering field. In 2018, they were an Embedded Firmware Engineer at IPS Group, Inc., where they maintained embedded C code in a low power parking meter application, ported code from 16-bit microcontroller to 32-bit ARM device, and developed a BLE networking application for parking meters. From 2012-2018, they worked at Texas Instruments, first as an Embedded Wireless Software Applications Engineer, where they contributed to development of low-power BLE products, wrote user-friendly documentation for SDK releases, and designed sample BLE applications in C. Zahid then moved to a role as a Systems Application Engineer, where they solved customer issues for customers using dual-mode Bluetooth devices, architected and designed Bluetooth audio hardware reference designs, and wrote and published documentation in wikis. In 2012, they also worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin. In 2011, they were an Applications Engineer Intern at Texas Instruments, where they worked closely with coworkers in developing a training guide for MSP430 Bluetooth platform and wrote several platform-related code examples for customers.

Zahid Haq received their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2012.
