Festus Were

Festus Were is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the Head of Platform Engineering at PesaLink since February 2024, where responsibilities include leading a team to design and manage scalable cloud infrastructures and optimizing DevOps practices. With a strong background in DevOps, Festus served as the DevOps Lead at Cellulant from September 2019 to February 2024 and as DevOps Manager at Radio Africa Group from August 2014 to September 2019, excelling in technologies such as Go, Python, Ruby, Java, PHP, Bash, and SQL. Previous roles include Senior Software Engineer and Lead Technical Officer focusing on brand development and web applications, as well as IT administration positions at Ghafla Kenya and Kenya Pipeline Company Limited. Festus holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University and a certification as a Computer Programmer from the Institute of Advanced Technology.
