Willem van der Berg has over 15 years of experience in software engineering. Willem currently holds the position of Principal Software Engineer at IPSY since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Software Engineer at BFA Industries from 2021 to 2023. From 2018 to 2021, they held multiple roles at IPSY, including Principal Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. Before that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at ACI Worldwide from 2012 to 2018. Willem started their career as a Software Developer at S1 Corporation in 2009 and briefly worked as a Software Researcher at St James Software in 2008.
Willem van der Berg completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematical Sciences from Stellenbosch University from 2001 to 2003. In 2004, they pursued further studies at Stellenbosch University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc)(Hons) degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics.
