Gene Quinn has a long and distinguished career in the legal field. Gene began their professional journey in 1999 as a Law Professor at Whittier Law School. In 2001, they took on a similar role at the University of Toledo College of Law. In 2002, they became a Law Professor at Temple University School of Law and also took on the role of Associate Director of the New York State Science & Technology Law Center at Syracuse University. In 2003, they became a Law Professor at Syracuse University College of Law. In 2004, they took on the role of Law Professor at Franklin Pierce Law Center. In 2011, they became an Adjunct Professor at The John Marshall Law School. Gene also founded IPWatchdog, Inc. in 1999 and has been a Patent Bar Review Lecturer for the Practising Law Institute since 2000.

Gene Quinn received their LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1998, their J.D. from the same institution in 1995, and their B.S.E.E. in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University in 1992.
