Niall Markey

Niall Markey is a seasoned Compliance and Operational Risk Professional with over 20 years of experience in the investment management and fund management sectors across the UK and Europe. Currently serving as the Head of Compliance Oversight at IQ-EQ since March 2021, Niall holds the role of Strategic Management Function (SMF) 16 Holder. Prior roles include Compliance Officer at SYZ Asset Management (Europe) Limited and Head of Compliance & Risk at Prescient Group. Niall's extensive regulatory knowledge encompasses key frameworks such as MIFID, UCITS, AIMD, CASS, and EMIR, with experience managing compliance and operational risk across various regulatory bodies, including FCA, SEC, and the Central Bank of Ireland. Niall's previous positions also include leadership roles at AIB Asset Management Group and JP Morgan Fleming Group, showcasing a robust background in both compliance and operations. Niall earned a BA BBS in Economics and Business Studies from Trinity College Dublin.
