Sukanya Lal

Sukanya Lal is the current Director of Business Development at IQ-EQ. Sukanya has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on business development, sales, and marketing.

Sukanya began their career in 2003 as a Sales Manager at Birla Sun Life Insurance. Sukanya then spent three years as a Channel Manager for Foreign Banks at ICICI Prudential AMC Ltd. In this role, they were responsible for developing and executing the sales and distribution strategy for mutual funds, PMS, and other financial products offered by ICICI Prudential AMC Ltd.

In 2006, Sukanya joined SBI-SG Global Securities Services Pvt Ltd as Assistant Vice President of Business Development, Sales, and Marketing. In this role, they were responsible for sourcing new business opportunities for the firm, with a focus on custody and fund accounting services. Sukanya also worked with clients in the domestic mutual fund, insurance, private equity, and foreign portfolio investor space.

In 2018, Sukanya left SBI-SG Global Securities Services Pvt Ltd to join SS&C GlobeOp as Director of Business Development. In this role, they were responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities for the company.

Sukanya has been with IQ-EQ since 2020 and currently serves as Director of Business Development. In this role, they are responsible for leading the business development initiatives of the company and identifying new areas for growth.

Sukanya Lal graduated from the University of Delhi with a Bachelor of Commerce. Sukanya then studied at Somerville School before completing their MBA in Finance and IT from the New Delhi Institute of Management.

They work with Caroline Bagshaw - Group Chief People Officer, Shaun Geils - Global Head, Insurance, and Emma Crabtree - Group Chief Commercial Officer. Their manager is Mark Pesco, Group CEO.
