Lloyd Sparey

Lloyd Sparey is a highly experienced Process Engineer currently employed at IQE since September 2018, responsible for managing MOCVD reactors and the production of epi wafers for leading technology and semiconductor companies. Lloyd has held various roles at IQE, including Senior Shift Process Engineer and Shift Process Engineer, where duties encompassed production planning, yield maximization, and quality management, as well as training shift engineers. Prior experience includes serving as a Process Metallurgist at Orb Electrical Steels Limited, where Lloyd developed the metallurgical aspects of the Quality Laboratory, and as a Change Agent at Tata Steel UK, focusing on process improvements. Lloyd began a career in metallurgy as a Metallurgist with Minton, Treharne & Davies Group, performing material testing and failure investigations after obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Science & Engineering from Swansea University.
