Balaji V has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Balaji started their career as an Associate Developer at Aztecsoft in 2007, where they received training on various programming languages and worked on internal projects. Balaji then joined Red Planet Consulting as a Senior Consultant and Developer, where they worked on a range of tasks involving Smallworld, PNI, and LNI. In 2012, Balaji worked as a summer intern at iFactor Consulting, where they contributed to web projects using the Struts framework. Moving forward, they worked at the University of Maine as a graduate research student, focusing on real-time spatial interpolation and representation of spatial fields. Balaji also worked part-time as a Student Software Developer at AEWC, UMaine, where they developed a new website. Balaji then joined Ubisense in 2013 as a Senior Consultant, taking on the role of a technical lead for telecom clients and specializing in network data modeling and migration. Currently, they are working at IQGeo as a Principal Solutions Architect.

Balaji V completed their masters degree in spatial information science and engineering from the University of Maine from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a B.Tech degree in Information Technology from the College of Engineering Guindy, Chennai from 2003 to 2007. Balaji completed their 12th grade in Computer Science from Gulmohur High School, Jamshedpur from 2000 to 2002, and their 10th grade in Science from Secondary Education in 1999. Balaji also obtained a certification in GE Core Spatial Knowledge Assessment from GE in 2009.
