Luke Kaim Thelen

Luke Kaim Thelen is an experienced professional in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and software development. Currently serving as President and Chair of GIS Colorado since April 2023 and a Senior Support Engineer at IQGeo since January 2022, Luke has previously held roles as a Software Developer at PlanIT Geo, GIS Lead at WYCO Field Services, and GIS System Analyst at Applied Future Technologies. Luke's contributions to the field also include teaching GIS and Python as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Denver and serving on the boards of RM-URISA and GIS Colorado. Holding a Master's degree in Spatial Information Science and Engineering from the University of Maine and a Bachelor's degree in Geography GIS and Remote Sensing from the University of Denver, Luke's expertise encompasses system requirements and geolocation applications.
