David Villanueva

David Villanueva has been working in the field of information technology for over 25 years. David started their career in 1991 as an administrator at Barclays Bank España. In 1994, they moved to Fundación Bancaria ”la Caixa”, where they worked as an administrator for three years. In 1997, they started their own IT company, David Villanueva Belarre - Informática. David worked as a freelancer for three years before joining Escola Pia de Nostra Senyora in 2000. There they worked as the Responsable de tecnologías de la información y comunicación for two years. In 2002, they joined Parc Científic de Barcelona, where they worked as the Responsable Microinformàtica for four years. In 2006, they joined IRB Barcelona as a systems administrator, where they have been working for the past 14 years.

David Villanueva has a degree in Gestión de Activos TIC from Udima Universidad a Distancia de Madrid, a degree in E.T. Informàtica Gestió from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, and a degree in Ingeniería Informàtica from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

David Villanueva reports to Ramon Roca-Sastre, Head of ITS. They are on a team with Carlos Alonso - Systems Architect, Gerard Alonso - IT Infrastructure Engineer, and Rodolfo César Scorians - Systems Administrator.
