Tiago Oliveira Botelho is currently a Senior Business Development Manager at IRB Barcelona. From October 2009 to March 2011, they worked as a Post-doc at IRB Barcelona on the project “structural and functional studies on zinc-dependent hydrolases and their inhibitors”. Their main responsibilities included molecular biology techniques, protein expression in E. coli, protein purification, protein crystallography, antibody purification, ELISA, large-scale fermentation, and software/hardware management.

Tiago Oliveira Botelho has a wide range of experience in the field of life sciences. Tiago has a degree in applied chemistry and biotechnology from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, a PhD in biotechnology from Universidad Barcelona, and a Doctor of Philosophy in biomedicine from Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciencia. Tiago also has a post-graduate degree in project management from the Project Management Institute. In addition to their academic credentials, they have also undertaken leadership roles in tech transfer and new venture creation and marketing in health/life sciences.
