Daniel Castillo

Daniel Castillo has significant work experience in the insurance industry. Daniel currently holds the position of Executive Vice President at IRB Brasil RE since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Member of the Board at IRB Brasil RE from August 2020 to January 2023. Before joining IRB Brasil RE, Daniel worked at Gen Re, where they held the role of Regional P&C Manager for Spain, Portugal, and Latin America from November 2017 to March 2020. Daniel also served as a Member of the Board of Executive Directors at Gen Re from July 1993 to November 2017. Daniel's career in the insurance field began at Munich Re, where they worked as a Facultative Property and Engineering Underwriter from March 1989 to July 1993. Prior to that, they held the position of Chefe de Regulacao de Sinistros at Bradesco Seguros from July 1983 to July 1989, and as Inspetor de Riscos at SulAmérica Seguros Saúde from July 1980 to July 1983.

Daniel Castillo completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management from Kingston University Ontario from 1989 to 1991. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Construction Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul from 1973 to 1979.
