Sara Maffei

Sara Maffei is a highly experienced scientific professional with a focus on comparative biology and veterinary biotechnology. Currently serving as a Scientific Support Officer and Head of the Comparative Biology Facility at the IRB | Institute for Research in Biomedicine since August 2015, Sara has also held the position of Research Assistant. Prior roles include Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Università degli Studi di Milano and Postdoctoral Fellow at Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche. Sara's academic journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Biotechnology to Veterinary and Animal Sciences, a Master of Science in Veterinary Biotechnology, and a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Biotechnology, all achieved from Università degli Studi di Milano between 2005 and 2013.
