Dario Choi

Dario Choi has extensive work experience in the telecommunications, media, and technology industries. Dario has held various leadership positions throughout their career.

Dario's most recent role was as the Regional Vice President for APAC at Irdeto, a global leader in digital platform security. In this role, they led a team focused on helping operators and media service providers increase revenue, protect investments, and drive digital transformation.

Prior to their role at Irdeto, Dario served as the Vice President of Global Marketing & Solution Sales, Digital Services Division, Cloud & Data Center BU at Huawei. In this position, they worked with global tier-1 telecom operators and MVPDs on their digital transformation strategies, specializing in solution and product strategies as well as go-to-market strategies for infrastructure and business application solutions.

Dario also has experience as the Chief Digital Officer at AsiaNet, where they focused on bringing operators and solution vendors together and helping operators with their digital transformation strategies.

Earlier in their career, Dario held regional vice president roles at Harmonic, Avid, and Harris Broadcast, where they were responsible for leading sales and business operations in the APAC region.

Additionally, Dario has a strong background in the TV and media industry, having served as the GM & Head of APAC Region, TV & Media at Ericsson. In this role, they managed the P&L driven business operation for the APAC region and achieved market leadership across the region.

Dario began their career at Glenayre Electronics Inc as a Strategic Account Manager, where they managed the sales and delivery of end-to-end solutions for unified messaging and communication services.

Dario Choi's education history includes a Master of Business Administration Degree in Management, Finance, and Marketing from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, which they completed from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2011 for an Executive Management Program in Business Management. Dario also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta, where they participated in the Co-Op Program specializing in Electronics, RF Communication, and Business Law.

Aside from their formal education, Dario has attained various certifications. Dario completed the Coach Global | Coaching Australia Executive Coach Certification Programme offered by Coaching Australia, an international division of Coach Global, in October 2021. In November 2009, they obtained the Executive Coach certification from Coaching Australia Pty Ltd. Additionally, Dario holds a Media Spokesperson certification from Benchmark Communications, obtained in 2008.

Dario has also engaged in other training programs and courses. Dario completed a Business Management program in Sales Strategy, Leadership, and Talent Management at Force Management. Dario received training in Strategic Management and Leadership from SIA Group. Dario also achieved the Impactful Presentation certification from Stafford & Chan Training Limited and completed training in Strategic Selling & Conceptual Selling offered by Miller Heiman.
