Hans Dekker

Hans Dekker has over 30 years of work experience in the technology industry. Hans began their career in 1984 as a Senior System Analyst and Developer at ACE Associated Computer Experts bv. In 1984, they co-founded West Consulting and served as the Chief Technology Officer.

From 1994 to 2000, Dekker worked at Irdeto where they held various roles including System Architect, Manager of Research, and Technical Manager of Smartcard Development. In these positions, they were responsible for managing technical teams, designing security features, and leading advanced research projects.

In 2003, Dekker became the Corporate Manager of System Architecture at Irdeto, where they headed the global System Architecture department and ensured the security robustness of the company's product portfolio. Hans later became the Chief Architect, responsible for driving the company's technical strategy and aligning the vision of engineering, product marketing, and research.

In 2014, Dekker was promoted to Chief Security Architect at Irdeto, a role they held until 2017 when they took on additional responsibilities as the Corporate Security Officer. In these positions, they focused on the security of the company's current and future products.

In 2018, Dekker joined UniqIC as the Chief Technology Officer for a year before moving on to other opportunities.

Hans Dekker pursued their education at Delft University of Technology from 1978 to 1984. During this time, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Electrical Engineering. Apart from their formal education, they also acquired the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in April 2022.
