Rafal Szymura has a diverse work experience in sales, business development, and team management in the technology and services industry. Rafal started their career as a sales manager at Vector Sp. z o.o. in 1997. In 2001, they worked as the VP of Sales and Marketing at MTK S.TAR and later became the Country Manager for Teleste in Poland.

In 2007, Rafal became the CEO of PLAY 5 S.A., where they distributed content to small and medium operators. Rafal then co-founded and served as the CEO of Top Content Ltd in 2009, a content warehouse in the Polish market that provided advisory services for network digitalization.

Rafal joined Irdeto in 2010 and held various leadership roles. Rafal started as the Sales Director CEE and later became the Business Development Director Europe. From 2016 to 2018, they served as the Head of Sales for Central Eastern Europe and CIS, overseeing sales, business development, and team management.

In 2018, Rafal became the Head of Sales for Western Central Eastern Europe and CIS at Irdeto. Rafal then advanced to the position of Vice President of Sales for Europe and Africa and was responsible for new sales and account management activities. Currently, they are the Vice President of Sales EMEA, leading business growth, marketing, and account management activities throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, focusing on Irdeto's full security portfolio and managed services.

Throughout their career, Rafal has demonstrated a strong track record of business growth and transformation in the media and entertainment industry.

Rafal Szymura has a diverse education history. In 1995, they began their undergraduate studies at Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny w Katowicach, where they specialized in Marketing & Management. Rafal completed their studies in 2000 and obtained a Master of Science degree.

In more recent years, Rafal has pursued further education at the Harvard Business School Executive Education. From 2018 to 2022, they participated in the Certificate of Management Excellence program. This program provided him with a comprehensive understanding of various management principles and practices.

Additionally, Rafal has obtained several certifications from the Harvard Business School Executive Education. In August 2018, they completed the Authentic Leader Development program, which aimed to enhance their leadership skills. In April 2021, they obtained a certification in Strategic Negotiations, focusing on strategies for effective negotiations. Most recently, in June 2022, they completed the program on Strategy: Building and sustaining competitive advantage, further enhancing their strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
