Richard Dawkins

Richard Dawkins has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Richard began their career as an Assistant Manager at Squires Loft in 1993 and stayed until 1994. Later, from 1995 to 1997, they worked as a Technical Salesperson at Micros South Africa. In 1998, Dawkins joined MultiChoice as the Head of Department for Contracts Management in the MultiChoice Broadcast Technology sector. Richard held this position for an impressive 20 years, until 2018. During their time at MultiChoice, Dawkins managed supplier contracts, handled site acquisition and account management for DVB-H and DTT transmitter sites, and ensured timely payment of site leases. In 2018, they transitioned to Irdeto, where they assumed the role of Key Account Director. In this role, Dawkins led key account management for Irdeto SA of the MultiChoice group revenue account, overseeing the Irdeto Broadcast Managed Services (IBMS) business and optimizing customer relationships while effectively recovering revenues. Richard also held a directorship at Irdeto SA, with associated fiduciary duties.

Richard Dawkins attended Jeppe High School for Boys from 1982 to 1986 but did not receive a degree or specify a field of study. In 1994, they enrolled at DAMelin and began studying business, management, marketing, and related support services, but it is not mentioned if they completed a degree. From 1994 to 1997, Dawkins attended IMM Graduate School where they pursued a Diploma in Marketing Management, specializing in marketing and marketing management. Finally, in 2016 and 2017, they attended the South African Law School, where they obtained a Paralegal degree in the field of legal assistant/paralegal.
