Faran Rana is an experienced professional in renewable energy finance and policy, currently serving as an Associate Programme Officer at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) since June 2021. In this role, Faran contributes to significant energy finance reports utilized by international bodies such as the G20 and G7, focusing on investment flows and risk perceptions in renewable energy, electric vehicles, grids, and hydrogen markets. Prior experience includes serving as an Energy Access Analyst at the United Nations ESCAP, where Faran led a systematic review on the socio-economic impacts of energy access policies. Faran also has experience as a Co-Founder and Advisor at Plethora IT Solutions and has held research and teaching roles at Assumption University. Faran holds a Master’s degree in Business/Managerial Economics from Chulalongkorn University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from Assumption University.
