Norela Constantinescu

Norela Constantinescu currently serves as the Deputy Director at the IRENA Innovation and Technology Center since May 2024. Prior to this role, Norela held various positions at ENTSO-E, including Head of Section for Innovation and Manager of Research & Innovation, leading essential R&I activities from March 2014 to May 2024. Norela's earlier experience includes roles at the European Commission, where responsibilities involved developing European Energy Research Policy and implementing the Strategic Energy Technology Plan from March 2008 to February 2014. Earlier professional experience includes serving as a Project Officer at Euroheat & Power from August 2001 to February 2008. Norela holds a Master of Science in Energy Engineering and a Master of Business Administration.
