Peter Betts CB, CBE is a seasoned expert in climate change and energy policy with extensive experience in advisory roles and negotiations. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Kaya Advisory, the International Renewable Energy Agency, and the Committee on Climate Change, Peter Betts also holds a strategic advisory position at the European Climate Foundation and Willis Towers Watson. As the owner of Peter Betts Consulting, Peter has collaborated with numerous prestigious organizations, including the International Energy Agency and the World Bank. Previously, significant positions included Director of International Climate and Energy at the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, and Lead Negotiator on climate change for the European Union. Peter Betts holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Mansfield College, Oxford, and a diploma in International Public Administration from Ecole Nationale d'Administration in Paris.
