Riccardo Toxiri

Riccardo Toxiri is a seasoned professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as Advisor to the Director-General and Chief of the Office of the Director-General at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) since November 2018. Additionally, Riccardo contributes as an Advisory Board Member for the European Youth Energy Network and the Global Renewables Congress. Prior experience includes roles at GSE (Gestore Servizi Energetici) as Advisor to the CEO focusing on International Institutional Relations and Initiatives, and providing advisory support for international initiatives at both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy and the Ministry of Economic Development of Italy. Early career highlights include a position as Project Finance Specialist at Forest Carbon Group AG and Senior Auditor at EY. Educational qualifications include a Master RIDEF in Management of Renewable Energy from Politecnico di Milano, an Executive Master in Enterprise Risk Management from Luiss Business School, and a Master Degree in Economics and Business Management from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, among others.
